Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actor and singer. Parents are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. Her family was from Huntington Woods Michigan. She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen discovered her talents in the entertainment industry at a young age. In 1992, Kristen went to her very first audition. She was given an appearance in Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell was accepted by her mother to become an agent when she was thirteen years old. Bell was later selected for newspapers ads as well as TV commercials. In addition, she is beginning classes in acting for herself. Bell had a small uncredited role as a character in Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a part of the drama and music clubs at Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the leading Dorothy part. After graduation Bell relocated in New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts and learned about musical theatre. Bell left her college in 2001 after she landed the role of Becky to play Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she was the first to make her credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. But the film cut her character from the film, and her appearance was only on the screen credits. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in the Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
