Catherine Ford is a British actress born in Bloomsbury. When her father's departure from the family members, she was grew to maturity by her mother, godparents, and grandmother. When she was a young girl, Ford suffered anxiety due to an obsessional-compulsive disorder. Ford was interested in acting during her teenage years and enrolled in the National Youth Theatre. After being admitted at the Sylvia Young Theatre School for only a few days, Ford decided that it was not the right location for her. Ford decided to apply for the Central School of Speech and Drama and was able to secure an acceptance on her fourth application. Shaun Dingwall was one of Ford's fellow students. The actor went on to get recurring roles as Pete Tyler and Doctor Who. Ford graduated in 1993. However, prior to that, Ford made a television debut as a character in Surgical Spirit in an episode from the year 1991. Ford took the professional name of Catherine Tate. Tate made her television debut in 1991, appearing on television shows like The Bill. Men Behaving Badly. and London's Burning. Alongside her usual theatre work, Tate joined with the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2000-2001. Tate's stand-up comedy and humour, which she added to her repertoire in 1996, soon gained the attention of her peers.
